Stefanie and Alan :: Married :: Princeton Wedding Photos

When Stefanie first started e-mailing me I was so excited to meet her and her hubby. Stefanie and I instantly connected and scheduled her and Alan’s Princeton wedding photos for early September. I was so excited to capture these images for them considering they never got the chance to have professional photos taken during their real wedding ceremony this past summer! Needless to say, as soon as we started our session in Princeton these two love birds got comfortable in front of the camera and had so much fun laughing (probably at me 🙂 ) and chatting about their life here in the states.

Alan and Stefanie met back in high school, back in Hong Kong. Alan is only THREE DAYS older than Stef! 😛

Eventually, Alan moved to the United States with his family and soon after, Stefanie came to California for college. These two had a long distance relationship for a few years before they tied the knot!

Alan proposed in Bali, Indonesia where they went for a vacation. He went back to Hong Kong the year after to do the Chinese marriage traditions with Stefanie.

These two have so much love for each other and Stefanie’s “Love conquers all” attitude is truly inspiring.

Read more below to learn more about these two and their wedding/shoot inspiration. <3

How did you two meet and fall in love?
We met in high school in Hong Kong, we fell in love just a little before we graduated.
It was a very much puppy-love kind of relationship!! We talked we laughed we and we fell in love just like that!!
Where and when did you get married?

We got married at the Villari’s Lakeside Restaurant in Sicklerville on the 6th of June 2016. Beautiful venue small wedding and gorgeous sunny day!

What made you choose the location (Princeton) for your photo session?

First of all, close to home! Haha very important isn’t it! And of course, the buildings at Princeton University are very classy and romantic!

Is there any specific meaning behind the props you brought to your photo session? (The balloon flowers, the Mr and Mrs. signs etc).

Honestly, I was just having so much time in hands so I decided to DIY props such as the balloon flowers for the photo shoot! LOL

Other than that, I have always feel that props is fun to have for photo shoot!
We used the Mr and Mrs sign at our wedding so we thought to bring along the sign to use in the wedding pictures is a good idea too!

What was the inspiration behind your wedding?

We wanted to have our loved ones gather together and share our happiness with us! And an outdoor western wedding is always a dream for me!

What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
My favorite memories! Not just one! Haha! Very emotional ones too!
Such as the moment when my father walked me down the aisle and my husband couldn’t say his vow properly as he was too nervous LOL

How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?

I always imagine telling my children how magical and warm-hearted our wedding was with both of parents presented and how lucky their father was to have me as a wife!! HAHA!!

Why did you decide to get photos done of you and your hubby after your wedding day?

We didn’t hire a professional photographer for our wedding due to our tight schedule and my situation as a fiancé visa holder. BUT the decision of after-wedding pictures with Jaye is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!

Do you have any marriage advice for other couples?

Always remember the reason why you two fell in love in the first place and be able to say I’m sorry to each other!

Marriage is a work in progress and be grateful to have that special someone to grow old with!:)
Congratulations Stefanie and Alan, it was a pleasure and honor taking these photos for you!
