Nicole & Ryan
I love going down the shore: from the boardwalk food to the games to the rides, summer days and nights at Jenkinson’s Pavilion in Point Pleasant are TONS of fun! So when Nicole and Ryan said they wanted their engagement session to take place down the shore, I was all in!
Nicole and Ryan are just full of life and full of fun! Their engagement session on the boardwalk and the beach, was totally them! When we began our time together on the boardwalk, not only were these two lovebirds all laughs, but they were all love, too.
Nicole began our time together in a fabulous jumpsuit by Miessial, along with shoes from Blowfish, and jewelry from Sunshine Daydream (which also happens to be her favorite store). Ryan complimented her perfectly in navy shorts by Marc Anthony, available at Kohl’s, a short sleeve button down by 28 Palms, and shoes by Steve Madden.
As we moved to the beach (and under the boardwalk, he he) Nicole changed into a perfect beach maxi dress by Morgan and Co., from Macys. Ryan changed into a classic blue oxford button down shirt by Society of Threads and IZOD khaki pants.
I had a BLAST down the shore with these two and I cannot wait to be a part of their big day next year! Read on to see how they met and what makes them so much fun!
Engagement Ring: Oceans of Diamonds
Describe your relationship in one sentence:
Our relationship is just so fun!
If your love story was a movie, which movie would it be?
Nicole: There’s no specific movie that I could think of that describes our love story, however when Ryan and I first started dating the quote from Dear John always kept popping into my mind. After dating only 2 weeks Ryan told me he loved me, and I was so glad he did because I was so undeniably sure I loved him. So, I always think of the quote “ Two weeks together, that’s all it took, for me to fall in love with you.”
How did you two meet?
We met in our peer leadership class during our senior year at Howell High School. We started dating about a year after we graduated college.
Describe the proposal
Ryan: We drove to Belmar Beach where Nicole thought we were taking anniversary pictures for my cousin, and then getting Rum Buckets after. When we walked onto the beach I stopped walking when we got near the photographer. I admit that the whole story was made up, got down on one knee, and told Nicole “there’s no one else I want to live this life with, will you marry me?”. She thankfully said yes and loves the ring. Nicole’s best friend and two of her cousins were hiding on the beach and joined us right after I asked her. We went back to Nicole’s parent’s house surrounded by our friends and family and had an amazing night we’ll never forget.
What is your favorite thing about being engaged?
Nicole: My favorite thing about being engaged is the feeling of knowing the person I love more than anything in the world feels the same, and is choosing to spend the rest of his life with me.
Ryan: My favorite thing about being engaged is knowing that I’m about to marry the person I’m truly supposed to be with, and thinking about how great of a life we’re going to have together.
What are you most excited about for your wedding? (Vows, dances, party, etc.)
Ryan: I’m excited to watch Nicole walk down the aisle with her Dad as well as for our first dance. But I’m most looking forward to having the most amazing reception with our closest friends and family dancing and having a great time with us.
Nicole: I’m most excited to see Ryan as I’m walking down the aisle, and to share our vows. I’m also looking forward to a damn good reception with all our friends and family. There’s nothing like being surrounded by all the most important people in your life at once.
