Point Pleasant Beach Engagement Photos

Emily and Mike :: Engaged

Summer is flying by! Can you believe it? Ok, but seriously … Emily and Mike’s Point Pleasant beach engagement photos were so much fun! Emily mentioned how they wanted to bring their dog Holly AND shoot on a boat — I was like WHAT?! So cool!

Our session started off with the boat – Mike’s friend graciously met us at the dock of the bay (see what I did there? haha) and took us out for a short trip for some photos. We had a great time laughing, chatting and getting to know each other and getting these two love birds used to the camera — up closer than normal (the boat wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t tiny either haha!). The first outfit Emily chose to wear was a navy blue Joe & Elle dress from Marshalls and some classic target sandals and Mike paired nicely with a Navy polo, green shorts from J.Crew and some Sperry boat shoes. After our boat session we headed to the Point Pleasant inlet where Emily and Mike changed into their second outfits – Emily chose a more casual look with a shirt from Francesca’s and shorts from Abercrombie and Fitch, while Mike wore J.Crew shirt and a Billabong shorts. These two were styling for their session and planned it out well!

The story behind the American Flag for their session was that Mike proposed on the 4th of July (see more details below). Emily wanted to incorporate this somehow so she chose to bring an American Flag to the session.
The third outfit we squeezed – Emily wore a cute white dress from Impressions Boutique and Mike sported the Billabong shorts again and changed into a dressier Nautica button down shirt.
