Sophia + Kyle :: Engaged
Happy Thursday folks! I’m thrilled to share these New Jersey Horse Farm Engagement Photos with you today!
One thing I truly love about doing engagement sessions with my couples is being able to get to know my clients. When I got to meet Sophia and Kyle at their session – it was like we were long lost friends! I’ve photographed many engagement sessions incorporating their pets, including horses – so this session was no stranger to me. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sophia and Kyle and incorporating Sophia’s horse, Harley, into the photos we captured. The weather was great besides it being one of the hottest days in July – we managed to have so much fun that we didn’t even realize how hot it was until we stopped shooting!
I loved Sophia’s dress – which was from American Eagle and wedge heels from Target (classic!). There’s just something about an off the shoulder look these days – it’s really in these days and I love it! Kyle sported two different shirts in the session -both from Target! Kyle was such a trooper for the session since it was so hot – but he totally enjoyed hamming it up for the camera once he got comfortable!
Read more below to hear about Sophia and Kyle’s love story. 🙂
How did you two meet?
We met through a mutual friend when we were 18 & 19 (at a bonfire at Kyle’s house). We were both in other relationships at the time, but soon after we met we actually ended up both being single. We started off spending time together because kyle would actually help me with my college algebra I had been struggling with! I never would have thought that someone I randomly met at a bonfire, would end up being my soul mate. After getting to know each other we soon realized we were perfect for each other.
Sophia: I thought about this question for a long time and came to the conclusion that there really is no movie that can relate to our love story!
If our story was a movie it would definitely be a romantic comedy….our life together is filled with lots and lots of laughter!
We had a surprise guest – this farm cat named “Albert” was adopted by Sophia and Kyle a few years back and lives at the farm. I think he secretly thinks he runs the place 😉
Kyle: I love introducing Sophia as my fiancé instead of just my “girlfriend.” I want people to know how special she is to me…It shows the strength of our relationship and the commitment we have to each other.
How sweet are these photos of both Kyle and Sophia?! Kyle doesn’t ride horses much but he seems to be a natural around
hanging out with them. Sophia looks so sweet here with Harley and Maverick! (Ok, maybe I am biased)
I loved the entrance to the horse farm! It sort of resembled a southern drive way with trees lining it!
Horses are so majestic, I loved capturing these images of Harley and Maverick just hanging out. I will be honest,
Harley walked towards me pretty fast and I didn’t think he liked me much in the beginning of our shoot, but towards the end he hammed it up for the camera!

Cheers! I cannot wait for your wedding at The Barn at Forestville, Sophia and Kyle!
