Blair and Anthony
Having an almost blank canvas as a wedding venue, like that of the Updike Farmstead in Princeton, New Jersey, allows for brides and grooms to truly build their own, original, perfect wedding. When I tell you that Blair and Anthony nailed their own, original, perfect wedding, I am not kidding. Their day was exactly as they wanted it: laid back, casual, intimate, with tons of laughs, dancing, and of course, excellent food and drink! From the oyster bar to the confetti cake, this wedding was on point. Read on to see for yourself!
Blair and Anthony are no question one of the coolest couples I have ever worked with. Blair is super fun-loving: from her laugh to the awesome white jumper with just the right amount of detail that she rocked for the reception, her personality shined through all day. The second I met Anthony he struck me as being so incredibly kind; the way he was with Blair was super sweet. Together, these two are so full of life! And let me tell you, so was their big day! With only 50 guests, 44 of which were some of their closest friends (all under the age of 40), Blair and Anthony’s wedding was exactly as they wanted it. From using one of Blair’s friends as the officiant, to the food and drinks flowing, and of course, Blair’s favorite cake, baked by her friend, an excellent time was had by all!
The Updike Farmstead is always one of my favorites to shoot at: there’s simply so much natural beauty around the property which allows for tons of great locations to capture memories. As essentially a blank canvas for events, the Farmstead, which is on the State and National Register of Historic Places, allows for its brides and grooms to create multiple areas of use during their wedding, from a glam Gatsby-esq event, to a laid back, fun farmhouse event, just like Blair and Anthony’s. While I literally loved every single thing about their day, Blair and Anthony had one of the coolest vendors out there as their cocktail caterer: 13th Street Cocktails. 13th Street even brought one of their mobile bars, a vintage horse trailer they converted on the inside, to the farm which was the perfect complement to the property, and suited Blair, Anthony and all of their friends perfectly!
