Austin & Thomas
Austin and Thomas were the lucky couple of my WEDFEST wedding photography giveaway from earlier this year, and I am so happy they won! I love Point Pleasant engagement photos. These two are simply adorable together, and we had so much fun at their engagement shoot down at Jenkinson’s Pavilion in Point Pleasant…especially eating ice cream. Oh, and you have to check out Austin’s adorable “I Do” sandals she wore on the beach! Keep reading to see for yourself!
Couples like Austin and Thomas that love to have fun, play games, eat ice cream, and are totally in love with each other are just so fun to photograph: not only is there never a dull moment, but their love for one another just shines through all the time!
What makes it even better? When they pick some amazing attire! For the most casual part of our shoot, you know where I get to watch them have fun and play around, Austin chose a blue tie sweater by Ruby and Jenna, along with white shorts by J.Crew. For their second outfits, Austin chose a dress by Ruby and Jenna and Thomas wore J.Crew for both his shirt and pants, along with a pair of shoes by Cole Haan.
A few super special touches to Austin’s wardrobe definitly added all the feel’s though…Tiffany knot earrings given to her by her childhood best friend years ago when she asked her to be in her own wedding, Tiffany necklace given to her by Thomas a couple of years ago (and she has yet to take it off), and of course, the “I Do” sandals by Jack Rogers.
This super sweet couple is getting married at the newly renovated Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake next year, and I cannot wait!
How did you two meet?
Unofficially we spent most of our childhood in the same elementary school but, we didn’t officially meet until we were 15 and worked at the same summer camp together.
If your love story was a movie, which movie would it be?
That’s easy- “Just Friends.” Before we dated, I may have kept him in the friend zone for almost three years.
Describe your relationship in one sentence:
I was everything he ever wanted, and little did I know, he was everything I ever needed.
Describe the proposal
Since we first started dating we have watched the movie Love Actually every year at Christmas time (9 total). So, one night my door bell rang and there he was reenacting one of the most famous scenes of the movie holding cue cards that described our relationship from the day we met. Ending with him getting down on one knee.
What are you most excited about for your wedding? (Vows, dances, party, etc.)
To finally say “I do!”….and then to celebrate with all the people we love and care about most.
