Long Branch Engagement Photos :: Amy and Mike
I love to laugh and have fun, so naturally, I totally delight in capturing my couples having tons of fun and being silly together during a shoot! Capturing Amy and Mike’s love down the shore in Long Branch still has me giggling!
We began our day at Pier Village, where I captured their love and adoration for each other. Amy showed off her stunning engagement ring by Abe Presman Jewelers, while wearing the perfect beach dress from LuLu’s, paired with flats from Kohl’s. Mike was casual and laid back in his Land’s End dress shirt and Levi Jeans. After spending some time in the Village, and up and down the boardwalk, we moved to the sand, followed by the ocean. Let me tell you, their ability to have fun together is so entertaining! So much fun was had by all playing with a beach ball! I am so grateful that I was able to capture Amy and Mike having the time of their lives together and cannot wait for their big day!
Amy and Mike shared some sweet sentiments about each other….read more below!
How did you two meet?
We met on Match.com. Mike joined the website in late October of 2014 and Amy messaged him on November 1st. We had a lot of conversations afterwards and at that point, it was time to go out on a date. 🙂 Amy said that if Mike didn’t ask her on a date, then she would have moved on, but Mike did ask her out on a date.
Describe your relationship in one sentence:
Our relationship is all about Love, Happiness, Goofiness, Adventure, Kindness, Spontaneous, Fun, Support, Life-Long Friendship, and Family.
Describe the proposal
We went to Long Branch to watch the sunrise on the beach. We arrived 10 minutes before the sunrise at 6am and picked a nice quiet spot. Mike wanted to take photos of us gazing at the sunrise. So he placed the camera behind us taking multiple photos. After several photos were taken, the sunrise was halfway up. However, Mike wasn’t done using the camera. Instead of taking photos, he started recording without Amy knowing. The camera was rolling and the moment was approaching. Once the sunrise was complete, Mike started breathing heavily, Amy asked “Why are you breathing like that?” At that point, Mike stood up and held onto Amy’s hands. After a brief speech, Mike got on one knee and proposed to Amy. With shock and excitement, Amy said YES!
It is our favorite beach and was the perfect location to propose. The beach was also the location where Mike asked Amy to go out with him back in December 2014.
