Linganore Winecellar Wedding :: Maryland Wedding Photographer
Juli and Bryan’s Linganore Winecellar wedding was absolutely beautiful. They had the perfect day paired with perfect weather! Juli wore a gorgeous fitted Allure Bridals gown from Castle Couture. Her bridesmaids all wore long, Vera Wang gowns in a deep, cool-toned gray. I loved the fact that Juli’s bouquet incorporated succulents into it even though it was very winter themed with roses, red daisies and dusty miller. Once it was time for the ceremony, everyone gathered in the fields at Linganore Winecellars. As Juli walked down the aisle, Bryan was absolutely floored by how beautiful Juli looked! I think he was trying to hold back some tears 😉 . Juli and Bryan had their friend marry them and he was absolutely hilarious. After a great ceremony, we took photos during cocktail hour and got the golden hour light! Yes!
Juli and Bryan chose to dance to a City and Colour song called ‘Northern Wind’ – it was the sweetest first dance and the entire bridal party just starred in awe. The night was a hit for everyone and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day for Juli and Bryan. Congratulations!
Bryan and I met while we were Emergency Medical Technicians at an agency in central New Jersey. He played a little joke on me about 15 minutes from when I walked through the door for the first time. He mentioned that having visible tattoos was against policy, with a smirk and a little tattoo poking out of his arm sleeve. I countered with “So then why is yours out?” with what probably was the same kind of smirk. He blushed and introduced himself. He stayed late to “help train me” on equipment and policies later that night despite his hour commute back home to Clinton NJ!
What was most important to you when planning your wedding?
Reflection on us as a couple, our love and our family is what played a huge role in planning the wedding. We aren’t very blingy or showy as people and as a couple, we prefer experiences over expenses. We wanted to provide a memorable experience for us, as well as for our family that will last a lifetime!
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme or colors?
I’m obsessed with floral patterns and the vintage feel! Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my Grandmother and Grandfather, who were avid gardeners, story tellers and collectors of family memorabilia. As I grew older, I learned to implement little pieces of my childhood into my life as comfort. I indulge in todays culture, but bring small pieces of that time with me. This inspired our focus on flowers, neutral tones, and the vintage homey feel.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
Hands down, my favorite part of the wedding was our ceremony. Walking down the aisle with my father and seeing Bryan standing at the end of the aisle was every dream come true. Our officiant was our very dear friend Kevin Di Marco, who gave us the most sensational ceremony, filled with genuine love, a little humor, and tradition. There was not a cloud in the sky, the weather was comfortable for a November evening, and the sun beginning to set over the rolling vineyard hills set the ambiance.
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?
Describing our wedding day to our future children can be done in 2 words: Pure Joy. Standing hand in hand with my soulmate, in a beautiful dress and him in his tux, surrounded by our entire family can only be described as the purest form of joy. After our jobs, mine as a Nurse and his as a Deputy Sheriff, moved us from New Jersey to Frederick MD, we value time with our family more than ever. For us, family is one of the most important keys to happiness. Having both families in one room, surrounding us with love, and witnessing our start into this new journey was the best feeling in the world.
What piece of advice would you give to future couples planning their big day?
My best piece of advice to future couples planning their big day is HAVE FUN! Its very easy to get tied up in small details, but little do you know, those small details aren’t always as colossal as they feel. Reflect on the realization that this time will be over before you know it, so live in the moment regardless of the stress from daily life and that which comes from planning a wedding. Don’t forget, nothing is going to matter when you’re standing in front of your loved ones hand in hand with your now spouse. Take in every second! Above all, take a moment with your now husband or wife, step away from the reception and its (fun) chaos, and be present with each other, even if its just for a moment.
What was one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
Linganore Winecellars in Mt. Airy, was the perfect fit for us because of its atmosphere. The comfort of the reception hall, the scenic rolling hills, the sunset casting its rays over the vines, and the incredible staff sold us from the moment we walked in. It reflects the importance of a comfortable, intimate, fun time with each other as well as our friends and family. Not to mention, the wine and beer is delicious! It was truly a dream come true!
