Jersey City Engagement Photos
Leo and Sara :: Engaged
Happy August everyone! I’ve been so backed up with blogging but I’m so happy we’re starting a fresh month and even more excited to share with you Leo and Sara’s Jersey City engagement photos! I have actually known Leo for a long time (since high school!) we were in the marching band together – so geeky I know! Leo and Sara got engaged and they requested some Jersey City waterfront photos for their session – I was ecstatic to be asked to do the job!
We started at the waterfront where we could see the New York City Skyline. Sara wore a cute blue swing dress from Town House and some black flats from DSW. Leo complimented her in some slacks and a blue button down collared shirt. After our time at the Jersey City waterfront, we headed to the Leo and Sara’s apartment building in town where there was a nearby park. This location was where Leo actually proposed!
Leo and Sara are perfect for each other. They are both funny and laid back and totally showed it in their photos! Read below to hear more about their love story. 🙂
His optimism and sense of humor.
She is very caring for others, always has good intentions, laughs at my bad jokes, and makes me laugh.
Getting to marry this awesome guy! And lots of love and celebrations with our favorite people. The ring isn’t too shabby either 🙂
Fondue mugs, and honeymoon planning.
We met online on Coffee Meets Bagel in February/March 2015! Leo noticed Sara in an owl onesie and couldn’t resist. After some witty banter, their first date came soon after. Leo took Sara out to Tavern on the Green for restaurant week, and they decided if they weren’t too tired they’d go meet up with his friends. They had a great time and kept hanging out more and more often.
On December 16, Leo and Sara were “going to meet his cousin for dinner” at a nearby restaurant. Leo told Sara that his cousin was lost and they were meeting him at the gazebo in the park next to their apartment. Not thinking anything of it, Sara obliged, taking pictures the whole way of the pretty lights. As they were waiting for Leo’s cousin, she wondered why he kept bringing up the truck crashing into the gazebo the prior week as she continued to take selfies. Finally, Sara let Leo say his piece and he proposed! After a few “oh my god oh my god’s”, she put the ring on and screamed with delight! Their close friends and family were waiting at a nearby restaurant to celebrate (Leo’s cousin included)
Congratulations Leo and Sara! Your Florentine Gardens wedding is going to be amazing!
