Florentine Gardens Wedding :: Stephanie and Jason
I can’t get over how amazing this Florentine Gardens wedding came out! I met with Stephanie and Jason over a year ago about their wedding. When we sat down, it was like we were old friends just hanging out and chatting it up. I looked forward to their big day for months! Finally, their wedding day came and it was perfect! The weather was cool and not too hot, Stephanie and Jason were all smiles and their guests truly enjoyed the whole day. Stephanie wore the most perfect gown by Eve of Milady from Park Avenue Bridals. It sparkled and flowed phenomenally! Jason looked dapper as ever in his Men’s Wearhouse tuxedo.
The floral arrangements for the day were stunning and elegant thanks to A Touch of Elegance and their creative team! I loved the Lisianthus, Peony and Roses in the bouquets. Stephanie even attached the custom locket I made her that featured her engagement photo and a picture of her Mom on her wedding day. There were many moments through out the day where Stephanie paid tribute to her mom – including the unique Ketubah she and Jason picked out.
After a lovely Jewish ceremony, guests gathered in the ballroom of Florentine Gardens where their in house band entertained guests in the ultimate way!
Congratulations Stephanie and Jason it was a true honor being a part of your wedding day and I cannot wait to see you two grow as a couple!

Wedding Date: June 3, 2018
Any specific reason why you chose this date?
In Judaism, the number 18 is “Chai” which means life. 6×3 is 18 and with the year 2018, we decided our wedding date would be double “Chai” and we took that to be a good omen.
How & when did you two meet? When did you meet? What were your first impressions?
S- Jason and I met on eHarmony. We started chatting in August and met for the first time in October (October 2, 2015 to be exact). Our first date took place on a rainy Friday night in New York City. We met at a nondescript bar in Midtown Manhattan after work. Jason was waiting at the bar when I arrived. I recognized him immediately and went over and gently poked his side to say hi. We chatted for a few minutes at the bar and then moved to a table in the back. We spent the next two hours talking, laughing and arguing over his future German Shepard named Glen. I cannot tell you what we ate or even the name of the bar, but I remember thinking (and telling my Mom later that same night), that I had a really good feeling about Jason.
J- We met online and our first date was a pub in Midtown. My first impression of Steph was that she was wifey material.
If you were to describe your wedding day in one word what would it be and why?
S- Bittersweet. Our wedding was beautiful, but it was a very hard day for me. My Mom passed away in October and that has left a huge hole in my heart. I miss her tremendously.
J- Fabulous. I married Steph.
What flowers made up your bridal bouquet? Did you incorporate any sentimental embellishments?
Lisianthus, Peony and Roses. I had a locket tied to my bouquet with a pictures from our engagement photo and a picture of my Mom on her wedding day.
What was your something old, new, borrowed and blue?
I wore my Mom and Grandma’s jewelry (earrings and bracelet) for the wedding, so that my something old. My something new and blue were my Kate Spade glitter heels. For the ceremony, I asked my Aunt if I could borrow her Kiddush cup (which belonged to my grandfather).
What was the design inspiration for your reception? What was the color scheme?
Modern vintage glam! That is the phrase we came up with to describe our wedding. Our color scheme was blush, gold, navy and cream.
What is your favorite memory of the day?
S- Seeing my dad and Jason for the first time and having a “first look” with each of them separately.
J- First look and seeing Steph for the first time.
During the reception, I was able to take Stephanie and Jason out for some more portraits in the garden – I loved this time during their wedding day because Stephanie actually had a hair style change!
Stephanie went with the “party pony” and I absolutely LOVED it. I think they enjoyed getting away from the chaos of the party for five minutes to take an intimate “we’re married” moment. How adorable are these images?!
I loved this party pony!
