Cecil Creek Farm wedding in NJ, Rustic Wedding Venues In NJ
Cecil Creek Farm Wedding :: By NJ Wedding Photographers :: Jaye Kogut Photography
Melissa and Kyle’s Cecil Creek Farm wedding was adorable. Melissa and Kyle wanted an intimate wedding so they had their family and closest friends be a part of it. The ceremony took place inside the Cecil Creek Farm market which was absolutely adorable! The staff decorated it nicely and the altar was set up with a beautiful backdrop and rustic details. It even had some eucalyptus incorporated into the floral decor! I loved Melissa’s Nicole Miller gown she got from Lovely Bride in Philadelphia. Melissa had her bridesmaids choose their own bridesmaid dresses they felt comfortable in – which I thought was a really nice idea! The bridesmaid designers ranged from Mod Cloth, Zara and Weddington Way – the colors fit perfectly for their rustic, fall wedding in New Jersey. The groom and his men all wore suspenders and casual gray pants – all from Asos.com.
After Melissa and Kyle’s ceremony everyone gathered in the barn that was recently renovated by the farm. It was great and had such character!

How did you two meet and fall in love?
We meet in high school, so I would say it’s your typical high school sweetheart story. But we ended having the baby first and then the wedding!
What was most important to you when planning your wedding?
What was most important to me when planning the wedding was the fact that I wanted my wedding to be simple. I wanted our families to feel relaxed and just have fun with one another.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme or colors?
I have always loved the rustic theme so I have always wanted my wedding to reflect stuff that I loved, so I knew that a rustic wedding is what I wanted. I choose have different colors for my bridesmaids and to have them choose a dress style that they felt comfortable with and a dress they could use for other occasions.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
My favorite memory from the wedding has to be just seeing all my family and my husbands family have so much fun together dancing and drinking.
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?
Besides the day my son was born, this was one of the best days of my life. I felt so much love that day that I can’t even explain it. As cheesy as it sounds I married my best friend that day.
What piece of advice would you give to future couples planning their big day?
Having a budget will definitely steer you into compromise in a lot of things but don’t let it overwhelm you let that day still reflect YOU!
It was definitely harder than I thought but in the end it was totally worth it!
What was one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
When I first came across Cecil Creek Farms, I had no idea they were renovating their barn. I really liked the feel of having a rustic farm wedding and when I found out that they had a barn I was sold.
Which 3 details from your wedding were your favorite?
The wedding cake was one of my favorite details it was so simple and it was so delicious.
Thanks to Summit Cakery for the cake.
Another detail was my bouquet and hair piece that with minimal details my florist really out did my imagination of how my bouquet would end up. Thank you Leigh Florist!
But the most memorable detail was watching my husband see me for the first time walk down the aisle.
